Why is the Lockdown ending when the Pandemic hasn't ?- Part 1
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everybody's life is filled with a large dent. This dent for some may be a feeling of constant hopelessness leading to melancholy. For other a constant feeling of agitation and annoyance. Previously almost all governments had shut down companies and dented the economies to prevent the spread of the outbreak; now we beg to ask the question - Why are we opening the lockdown? At first when the pandemic was declared people thought the virus would kill, so they quarantined themselves to prevent being infected. But as more and more people got infected the contagion became more severe and health care facilities encouraged us to stay at home. Today some countries are reopening economies and all places, why? This method is often referred to as 'racing through pandemic' as governments reopen places and act like nothing is happening. This leads to many people being infected probably even you. Thousands die and millions get infected. But soon immune hosts stop transmitting the pathogen and fewer people get infected. The fit survives, weak die and Darwin smirks from his grave. Soon people stop getting infected and the curve of cases declines.
In my opinion, countries that have the most cases or where the outbreak started are ahead in the race for the vaccine as more people infected leads to more information about the virus. This makes making a vaccine easier.
