How Metallic Glass will Shape our future

It is hard to imagine a world without steel and plastic. Steel and plastic shape or infrastructure as we speak do you make everything we can imagine and are present in all objects. Though steel and plastic have their sets of disadvantages. Steel is thought but cannot be shaped into many objects. Plastic is weak and can be shaped into many objects. So wouldn't it be nice if there was material as hard as steel and as shapeable as plastic? Well, many engineers and scientists are getting excited about a relatively new invention called metallic glass. Metalic Glass is shiny like steel and and is moldable like plastic. It can be used in phones shutles and everyday items. Then how does it shape our future ? Soon metals on Earth like copper ( Cu ) Ferum/Iron ( Fe ) and Titantium ( Ti ) will run out because of rapid industrialization. For basic items like toys and machine parts which can be made with cheaper metals like Ferum and aluminum. Instead machine equipment is made out of Ruthenium and Iridium. But that doesn't help metallic glass either as metallic glass is 10 times more expensive than that. It is shaping our future as eventually the right combination of elements can create the perfect alloy.

  1. Ooh nice ! I am sure Aadit will like to know if they will make hyper-loop/super speed trains with these ? The material would be strong and one could see the tunnel /world whizz by!!!
